Release notes - improvements to Projects and purchasing documents

Here’s what's new in Landchecker March 2025

Updates to Projects

We recently made some updates to the Projects features in Landchecker. Customers can now:

  1. Add notes via the Project Dashboard
  2. Upload/Download and Delete documents on a project property via the Project Dashboard

This along with our recent release of the Labels functionality these new additions make Projects your number one Property management and collaboration tool. Find out how these updates will help you work faster via our product help.

Consumer document page

We have designed and implemented a page for customers to directly purchase purchase documents without visiting the map experience. This is beneficial for customers looking for a one off purchase without having to learn to navigate the Landchecker platform to do so.

Here’s what's new in Landchecker early December 2024

Pins now included in drawing tools

Create your own datasets, map features on your property or mark up amenities such as cafes and restaurants in your local area with our new pin feature within the drawing tools.

Duplicate tools

Copy shapes, lines and text to speed up measuring and annotating properties and easily copy names and attributes for consistency.

Grouping and Ungrouping

Group shapes, lines and text based on site layout or project and rename group layers to customise your Tools panel further.

Available to Advanced plan users, these tools will help you work more efficiently when marking up properties.

Release Notes - new data and flood data update

Here’s what's new in Landchecker late October 2024

Transport orientated development data

Transport orientated development (TOD) data has been added to our New South Wales offering. Customers can now access the layers via the left hand side planning layers. Read more about this release in our product help.

Flood in Logan and Brisbane City Councils updated

We are currently undertaking a project to update the flood data across NSW and Qld. The first update being Logan and Brisbane City Councils. This and future updates include accessing new data, showing the different sources and fixing data coverage issues. Keep an eye out for more updates in the coming weeks.

Release notes - select images for custom report covers

Here’s what's new in Landchecker late October 2024

Change the image on Custom Report Covers

We listened to our customer requests and implemented your changes. Now customers on Advanced plans can now access the ability to change the report cover images in the edit report cover area.

There are now images for property types such as land, commercial, industrial, development apartments, childcare and medical in both portrait and landscape.

If there are other types of images you would like to see feel free to reach out. We plan on more improvements to Custom Report Covers in the future.

Here’s what's new in Landchecker early october 2024

Pay invoice by credit card

Customers on invoicing terms can now pay invoices by credit card. Simply head over to the invoices section in the business account settings and beside all due invoices you will see a PAY NOW button. Here you can select a credit card or add a new one to pay the invoice. Find out more here.

Introducing Site Consolidation

Here’s what's new in Landchecker, 1 October 2024

We are thrilled to announce the release of our latest feature: Site Consolidation! This new feature was developed with our customer’s feedback in mind, empowering you to enhance your feasibility analyses.

What's New?

Using Site Consolidation, you can now select multiple properties on the Landchecker map to create a combined site.

You can select and combine neighbouring properties to assess the development potential of a site, or you can select distant properties nationally across Australia to view combined property information for an existing asset list.

Combined data includes:

  • Land size - See the total area of your consolidated site or selected properties.
  • Frontage - Calculate the combined street frontage.
  • Zones - Understand the planning zones affecting your consolidated site.
  • Orientation - Know the orientation of your consolidated site for better planning.

This feature was created to help make researching and assessing development potential easier than ever. Find out more about this release including how to use it here.

Site Consolidation is now available to all members on our Advanced and Enterprise Plans.

Release notes - tools, property details and imagery improvements

Here’s what's new in Landchecker early September 2024

Improvements to tools

As mentioned in our last release notes we are currently in the process of upgrading our drawing tools. In this release you will see the following 3 update:

  1. Draw mode: when drawing shapes and lines we now enter draw mode to avoid accidentally selecting the property below.
  2. Left hand side panel: now shows a ‘TOOLS’ panel. Here you can turn on and off the area and line length. Watch this space for more updates to this section.
  3. Temporary save: shapes are now temporarily saved. Watch this space for more powerful saving and collaborating options.

RHS Improvements

As you may have noticed, we have had a few updates to our sales data supplier in recent months, this was due to circumstances out of our control. In this latest release the Right Hand Side Panel has been reverted back to its original design. Watch this space for continual improvements to the data and functionality we show.

Special Controls NSW

Landchecker now displays the Special Controls in the NSW planning scheme. Special controls/area are specific conditions applying to developments within the area. These provisions might provide exceptions or relaxations to the standard planning controls (FSR, HOB, MLS) based on the characteristics of the development area.

Blue overlay removed from High Resolution Aerial Imagery

We listened to our customers request implemented some changes to the way High Resolution Imagery works when zooming out. The blue overlay no longer appears and a link in the footer shows the coverage. Text in the footer also explains what you are viewing at each zoom level and area you are in.

Here’s what's new in Landchecker late August 2024

Improvements to drawing tools

As part of an ongoing project to improve our drawing tools, customers can now see the improved hover and select shapes drawn in Landchecker. Watch this space for more improvements to be released over the coming weeks.

Improvements to distance to

Some improvements have been made to the Distance To tool, customers can now search in 5 minute increments up to 1 hour. Select a property to see where you can drive to within an hour using major and local roads.

Improvements to Victorian Property Certificates

Customers who purchase Victoria Property Certificates will now see a sticky ADD TO CART button once a product has been selected. This UX improvement has been made to reduce friction when a job reference is required but not added and customer clicks ADD TO CART.

Here’s what's new in Landchecker early August 2024

Radius

As requested by our customers the ability to add a radius up to 50km around your selected property has been added to the Landchecker experience.

Projects Update

We have moved the export and import functionality to the properties section of the projects so that customers can find and access them easily. We have also added a new section to manage your team more efficiently.

Multiple Billing Emails per Organisation

As requested by our customers the ability to add multiple billing email addresses has been incorporated on the business billing page. Customers can now edit the primary email (defaulted as the owner) and add multiple secondary email addresses.

Data loading improvements

The team has been tirelessly working on improvements to the Landchecker property search to load properties faster.
