Elsie AI is Landchecker’s AI-powered assistant. It can help with property data lookups, zoning and overlay information, site analysis, development potential, and general platform navigation.

These supplementary terms apply specifically to Elsie AI and sit alongside the Landchecker Terms of Use (landchecker.com.au/terms-of-use) and Privacy Policy (landchecker.com.au/privacy-policy) you’ve already accepted. Those continue to apply in full — including all acceptable use, intellectual property, liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution provisions. If anything here conflicts with the platform Terms of Use, these supplementary terms take priority in relation to Elsie AI.

By using Elsie AI, you agree to these supplementary terms.

1. AI-generated content

Every response from Elsie AI is generated by artificial intelligence, not a person. Elsie AI is powered by third-party large language models. Your queries are processed by these models to generate responses — we don’t send your personal account details to these models unless it’s needed to answer your specific question.

AI-generated content may be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or misleading. The platform’s existing disclaimers on data accuracy and the “not a substitute for professional advice” provisions (clauses 19.3–19.5 of the Terms of Use) apply to all Elsie AI outputs. On top of those, you should be aware that AI introduces an additional layer of uncertainty beyond the underlying data itself.

Elsie AI does not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. It provides information and suggestions — any decisions are yours to make.

2. Beta program

Elsie AI is in beta. That means:

• it’s still being developed — expect bugs, gaps, and rough edges;
• features may change, break, or disappear without notice;
• we might wind down the beta at any time; and
• how it performs now isn’t necessarily how it’ll perform at launch.

Please don’t share details about Elsie AI’s capabilities, outputs, or your experience in the beta with anyone outside Landchecker without our OK.

3. Fees and future pricing

During the beta, Elsie AI is provided at no additional cost as part of your existing Landchecker subscription. This is a beta benefit and doesn’t guarantee that Elsie AI will remain free of charge.

We may introduce fees, usage-based pricing, or subscription tiers for Elsie AI (or specific features within it) at any time after the beta period ends. If we do, we’ll give you reasonable notice before any charges apply. You won’t be charged for Elsie AI without having the opportunity to opt in or out.

We may also introduce usage limits during or after the beta. These could include limits on the number of queries, session duration, or access to certain features, and may vary by subscription tier.

4. Your data and Elsie AI

Your personal information continues to be handled under the Landchecker Privacy Policy. These are the additional things specific to Elsie AI:

• We collect and store your Elsie AI interactions (questions, searches, clicks) to provide responses and improve the product.
• Your inputs may be reviewed by Landchecker team members during the beta for quality and safety purposes.
• Your inputs are not used to train the third-party language models powering Elsie AI. We may use interaction data to improve our own systems, prompts, and configurations.
• Interaction data is encrypted and retained for up to 180 days before secure deletion, unless we’re required by law to keep it longer.
• You can view and delete your chat history. Content already collected before you delete it may be retained by us for the remainder of the 180-day period.

Avoid sharing sensitive personal information, confidential data, or copyrighted material through Elsie AI. If you do include personal information, it’ll be handled under our Privacy Policy.

As Australian privacy and AI transparency requirements evolve (including upcoming changes to the Privacy Act), we’ll update our practices and these terms accordingly.

5. Feedback

If you give us feedback, suggestions, or bug reports about Elsie AI, we can use that freely to improve the product. You assign us any IP rights in your feedback. Your inputs otherwise remain yours — by using Elsie AI you give us a licence to use them for the purposes described in section 4.

6. Changes and termination

We can update Elsie AI’s features, functionality, or these supplementary terms at any time. If we make material changes (including introducing fees under section 3), we’ll let you know. Continuing to use Elsie AI after changes means you accept them.

We can end the beta, or suspend or revoke your access to Elsie AI, at any time on notice. The suspension and termination provisions in the platform Terms of Use (clause 21) also apply. You can stop using Elsie AI whenever you like.

On termination, your licence to use Elsie AI ends. Sections 1, 4, and 5 survive.
